„User driven innovation tour” for the EUROPE INNOVA participants at the BME(IT)²
EUROPE INNOVA conference participants visited the BME (IT)2 during a walking innovation tour.

Mr. László Bacsa, director of innovation and marketing welcomed the participants. After the introduction of BME (IT)2, the researchers presented the running development projects with demonstration.

Mr. László Szécsi and Mr. Tamás Umenhoffer presented the results of the Computer Graphics Research Group. The group focuses on research of real-time rendering methods, applied in areas such as volume rendering, fluid simulation, real-time visualization methods and interactive display of huge data sets from various sources. For achieving real-time performances new algorithms and rendering methods are developed and distributed visualization techniques are applied as well.

At the end of the tour, Mr. Dániel Rátai demonstrated his invention. The Leonar3Do makes it possible to create a PC environment which renders even an ordinary personal computer capable of genuine 3D functionality, at very little additional cost.
